Electricity Rates Are Going Up, And Up, And ... What To Do About It?

Date: Wednesday, November 24, 2010

On April 23, 2010 the Province of Ontario set conservation targets for local utilities. Local Distribution Companies (LDC’s) like Hydro Ottawa along with the Ontario Energy Board and the Ontario Power Authority have been directed to implement these targets.

The Province intends that the conservation targets will help achieve 1,330 megawatt (MW) of provincial peak demand savings over a four-year period beginning January 1, 2011.

What energy conservation programs have proven the most effective with the greatest financial benefit? What incentives are being offered by the utilities and the Provincial Government to implement a conservation program? Where can building owners find advice about how to proceed with a energy reduction program.

The breakfast will include an informative and lively panel discussion about the implementation of energy conservation programs.

Check back here for details and to register after August 16th.
