Scott Rasmussen, who has spent virtually all of his 17-year career in various aspects of the life and health sciences real estate sector, has been named president of Toronto-based MedSpace Canada.

Rasmussen moves to MedSpace from Colliers, where he spent the past year as vice-president, sales representative within its Toronto life science and innovation practice.

He has deep expertise in facilities that support healthcare, life sciences and health innovation. Throughout his career, he has operated at the intersection of healthcare, science, innovation and real estate — helping organizations grow by shaping spaces tailored to their needs.

His leadership experience includes senior roles at NorthWest Healthcare Properties and McMaster Innovation Park, where he played a key role in advancing healthcare and life sciences infrastructure. As co-founder and co-chair of the Ontario Wet Lab Coalition, Rasmussen is also actively addressing the critical shortage of lab space for scaling science-based companies.

At MedSpace, he will lead the company's efforts to support medical, healthcare, and life sciences owners, operators and tenants with their real estate strategies.

"I’m proud to be leading and growing a team focused on enabling the future of health and science, and I’m looking forward to what we’ll build together," Rasmussen stated in a LinkedIn post announcing his new role.

He holds a bachelor of health science degree and a masters of science, both from Western University in London, Ont.
