The Real Estate News Exchange (RENX) is an online service that provides news and commentary about the Canadian built environment. Its content is channeled into five categories of information including commercial and residential real estate, green real estate, infrastructure and Canadian listed property companies. It started publishing in May 2001.

RENX is for anyone with a keen interest in the Canadian built environment. It is particularly suitable as a source of information for industry professionals as a business to business service.

News is published on the RENX website and it is also delivered to the desktop of industry professionals in electronic newsletters. Its newsletters are a premier source of news for Canadian real estate executives.

Starting in 2009 RENX News is also available on mobile devices and RSS.

RENX provides a summary of online news about the Canadian built environment from traditional news sources such as the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Financial Post and other CanWest Global publications as well as trade publications, blogs and websites.

Since May 2001, when RENX was first published, its electronic newsletters have become popular among real estate professionals. In September 2009 with the launch of its current website RENX has expanded its newsletter offering to include:

In 2009 RENX added a summary of industry events, market research reports and human resource announcements for each channel with highlights for the entire website on its first page.

After launch of its new website RENX, in addition to its existing news service, will be publishing RENX feature columns including The Quebec Report and Listed Property Companies Report covering Canadian REITs and RECOs.

Commentary will be provided in a RENX Forum, a RENX Blog and independent bloggers writing under the RENX banner. Twitter (renxca), FaceBook and YouTube will all contribute to reader involvement in discussion about the Canadian built environment and serve as a media for broadcasting RENX news.

All RENX publications are free to its readers and supported 100% by advertising revenues. It is RENX goal to offer any size of business operating in the Canadian built environment an opportunity to promote its services and products through RENX.
