
Ali Hoss has been named the new head of sustainability and ESG at Colliers Canada (CIGI-T).
Hoss is a well-known figure in the sector, having spent the past four years at Triovest, where he had been promoted to the firm’s head of sustainability two-and-a-half years ago.
Prior to his time at Triovest, Hoss gained a wide range of industry experience in increasingly senior roles at several firms including WSP in Canada and the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). He has 18 years of experience across the industry.
He is very active within a variety of industry related organizations. Hoss is a member of the BOMA Toronto board of directors where he chairs its SMART committee; a member of the leadership advisory board for the FITWEL certification platform; chair of the built environment program advisory committee at Humber College; and a sustainability committee member at REALPAC among other roles.
He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in philosophy, mechanical engineering (clean energy research) from Ontario Tech University.

AutoCanada names Lebel to board
Automotive dealership and property owner AutoCanada Inc. (ACQ-T) has appointed Felix-Etienne Lebel to its board of directors.
Lebel is the founder and managing partner of Rowanwood Equity, a Toronto-based investment firm.
He brings over two decades of private equity and capital markets experience, having previously spent 13 years at Birch Hill Equity Partners, where he was a partner and served on the investment committee. During his tenure, he played a key role in sourcing, executing and exiting investments across a wide range of B2B and B2C sectors.
Lebel also serves on the boards of Alaris Equity Partners Income Trust, Midland Appliance, Morningside Capital, and the advisory board of Sherweb. He previously held board positions with several private and public companies, including Softchoice Corporation (chair and lead independent director), Citron Hygiene (chair), Groupe Maskatel (chair), Sigma Systems, and Harbour Air Seaplanes.
Lebel began his career in investment banking at CIBC World Markets and EdgeStone Capital Partners. He holds a bachelor of commerce from McGill University and is a CFA charterholder.
Burns joins Wall Financial board
Wall Financial Corp., has appointed a new independent director, Lorne Burns, to its board of directors.
Burns brings a wealth of experience to the company. He served as an industry leader in Canadian real estate, finance and business for over 39 years with KPMG, one of the four largest audit, tax and advisory professional services firms in the world.
Burns retired in 2021 and then served as a retired partner, providing consulting services for an additional year.
Wall is a B.C.-based real estate company active in the development and management of residential and commercial rental units, development and construction of residential housing for resale, and the development and management of hotel properties.
Colliers hires Marshall as MD with national brokerage team
Kevin Marshall has been named managing director with Colliers Canada’s national brokerage leadership team.
Marshall brings a blend of strategic insight, leadership experience and market knowledge to his new role.
Prior to joining Colliers, he held senior roles at Avison Young and most recently served as regional manager at Marcus & Millichap, where he led high-performing teams and championed innovative approaches to talent development and recruitment.
A former professional hockey player in Canada, the U.S., and Europe (including a 10-game stint with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers) turned real estate executive, he has been involved in the commercial real estate industry since 2019.
“Kevin is a well-respected leader in Quebec’s commercial real estate community,” Daniel Holmes, president, brokerage, valuations and advisory services, Colliers, said in the announcement. “His reputation as a trusted advisor and thought leader is backed by those that know him best.”
Cogliano becomes partner at Tercot
Tercot Communities announced David Cogliano has been named a partner and executive vice-president, marking a “significant milestone in the company's continued growth and strategic vision”.
With over a decade of experience in real estate development, Cogliano has been instrumental in shaping Tercot's portfolio. His new role as EVP reflects his alignment with Tercot's long-term mission of delivering innovative, community-focused developments across Ontario.

Perkins&Will appoints Henderson as a director
Perkins&Will has appointed Kerri Henderson as director of advisory services in Canada.
With over 15 years of experience in workplace strategy, research and real estate advisory, Henderson brings global perspective and local understanding to her new role. She’ll lead Perkins&Will’s advisory services practice across Canada.
A native of Ottawa, Henderson has led strategic engagements with clients across a range of sectors — from financial services and technology to media and professional services. She joins after more than a decade with another prominent international architecture and design consultancy.
She has worked previously in New York, London, and Toronto.
Henderson co-authored the award-winning study Learning and Re-learning: Researching the Impact of the Pandemic on People, Work, and the Future Workplace, which received a Certificate of Research Excellence from EDRA (Environmental Design Research Association) in 2022.
Henderson holds a master of architecture from Columbia University and a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Waterloo.
Bokan moves to CFO as senior analyst
Jeffrey Bokan has been hired at CFO Capital as senior commercial analyst, bringing over a decade of experience to the role.
Bokan spent the past four-and-a-half years in a series of positions at YNCU, most recently as director of commercial lending. Prior to that, he spend over five years at Meridian Credit Union.
He is a graduate of the accounting program at Fleming College and holds an honours bachelor of commerce in accounting from Ontario Tech University.
